Serge Gainsbourg and Karl Lagerfeld

Outside Serge Gainsbourgs apartment in Saint Germain

Last evening I met my French friend Hervé. I had my second hot chocolate for the day with him on a bistro in Saint Germain (where else?) and later that evening we went to see Serge Gainsbourg‘s apartment at 5bis rue de Verneuil where Serge used to live with Jane Birkin. I’ve passed that street several times when I was living in Saint Germain but didn’t had a clue that Serge had lived there before. After have been taking some photos we left the street and monsieur Karl Lagerfeld came by to take his car. It’s impossible not to notice him in the dark with his white hair and black sunshades ;-) We greeted and wished him a happy new year and he wished us the same and gave us a big smile :-)
