A breathtaking sunrise in winter 4 years ago in Lofoten, in the Arctic Circle. We had to drive through a snow storm to get to this location and many times during the way we hesitated to return as the weather was really bad but I’m glad we didn’t. Luckily we were equipped with extremely sharp crampons as we had to climb down some rocks that were covered with ice to get down to this spot. The waves were pretty rough and I had to change the position of my tripod several times in order not to get hit by them but in the end it was rewarding to witness the magical sunrise 💙 Have you been to the Lofoten islands?

Would you believe me if I would say I took this photo around midnight? During a hiking with snowshoes under the moonlight we could see a very light activity of the Northern Lights in the sky...it was a magical moment to experience that green light dancing in the sky while being surrounded by nothing but snow covered spruces as far as the eye could see.

I truly miss my winter adventures 😕 Each time I see my gloves from @theheatcompany at home I think of these adventures, they remind me of great adventures and I can’t wait till that day when i get to pack those gloves again 🥰

Closing one chapter and opening a new one is always a good reason to take time to reflect over the past, to understand what you need to improve, what you need to let go of, what you need to focus on and to set NEW goals. I try to do this on an ongoing basis, setting up short-term and long-term goals. Looking into 2022 I want to take on more challenges so I can continue to grow, spending more time with the people I love and creating life-long memories 💗 Its more of a long process for me rather than a New Years resolution.
