Join the professional photographers Alfredo and Solli on a photographic workshop in the heart of Val d’Orcia in Tuscany!Capture solitary farmhouses with lined up cypress trees on scenic rolling hills by sunrise and sunset… watch the daily life through street photography in picturesque hilltop towns such as Pienza with cobblestone streets. Taste the region not only with your lens, but with all your senses. An exquisite wine tasting session, a cheese tasting and local and traditional meals will let you try the best gastronomic highlights of Tuscany. Throughout the photo workshop in Tuscany you will have all the support and assistance of Alfredo and Solli, to develop not only your photographic skills but also bring with you tools in order how to plan, capture and process your images on your own.
Our ambition is to provide you with tools and increase your skills, understanding and knowledge in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We believe in learning by doing, it is our approach and how we want you to grow in experience. There will not be too much focus on theory or technical details but the basics that are necessary.

Our aim is to let everyone of you to get the most out of the workshop and we believe that a small number of participants will let us interact with each and every student individually. Photographers of all levels will benefit from our tuition and we will be there to answer your questions. A small number of participants will ensure that everybody will have a peaceful nature experience and concentrate on capture the beauty we will be surrounded with in Tuscany.
Itinerary
Thursday: Pick-up at Chiusi (can be reached by train from Florence, Pisa and Rome) from noon to afternoon. When everybody has arrived, we will have a welcome drink while going through the itinerary of the photo workshop in Tuscany and finish with a dinner on a traditional local restaurant. Our day to day schedule is not carved in stone, as any landscape photographer we will adapt to the weather :-) While giving our cameras a well-deserved rest we will have theory and post-production and of course enjoy traditional Tuscan food during lunch and dinner. On our last day we will do critique sessions and post-production. Again, this will be a great opportunity for you to have feedback from two professional photographers to progress and take your photography to another level. |

Tuscany Photo Workshop
Alfredo Falvo Alfredo Falvo is an award winning photo journalist based in the Orcia Valley.After studying photography in New York he did an internship in Magnum Photos and joined Contrasto photo agency in 2006. He’s been working for Unicef Italia in Congo and Chad documenting the difficult lives of the people living in these countries.Alfredo’s photography has always been focused on the human situation around the world and his reportages have been published in The Australian Photojournalist, Vanity Fair, El Pays Semanal, L’Express, Sport Week and many other magazines.His photographs have been included in photography festivals such as ‘Fotonoviembre’ Biennial of Photography, Tenerife, and ‘Visa pour l’Image’, Perpignan, France. In 2006 his first book, Lost Angels, won first prize in the book category at the International Photography Award.He currently lives in Tuscany where he runs photography workshops and collaborate with Contrasto photo agency for editorial photography. |

Solli Kanani
Originally from Sweden, she moved to Paris in 2013, and have been living and working there since. Paris gave birth to her passion for photography. She is a member of the Nikon Team in France and a Rollei ambassador. She also works and collaborates with various brands, writing technical product reviews, conduct product tests, organizes workshops, in Paris in particular but also on other locations in France and in Italy. She loves sharing her knowledge and passion and was invited to the Salon de la Photo in 2017 to talk about Long Exposure Photography representing the photo filter brand NiSi. Traveling twice a month to Italy, Tuscany has become one of her favorite regions to visit and she see it as her second home. |

Cancellation and Refund Policy
• Within 90 days from the date of the Workshop: you’ll lose the deposit
• Within 60 days from the date of the workshop: penalty of 50% of the course fee
• Within 30 days from the date of the Workshop: penalty of 75% of the course fee
• From 29 days to the date of the Workshop: 100% penalty of the course fee
Trip Cancellation and Insurance
We strongly advice all participants to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance as protection against an emergency which may force you to cancel or leave from the tour either before it begins or while it is in progress.
Limitations of Liability
We assume no responsibility whatsoever caused for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well being of the participants. In case of a medical problem arising during the expedition, which results in costs for evacuation, use of aircraft or repatriation, the responsibility for payment of these costs belongs solely to the participant. We strongly advise that passengers ensure that such eventualities are covered by travel insurance. If not covered by travel insurance the responsibility still remains with the participant and we specifically decline any responsibility whatsoever.
