L’Agapa Hôtel is a luxurious 5-star boutique-hotel located on a hilltop in Perros-Guerrec with a stunning view over the bay Baie des 7 Îles. The Art Deco inspired hotel dates back to the 1930’s and was restored by a Parisian couple in 2003. The archipelago of the 7 Îles is a protected natural site that hosts 27 species of breeding birds and 12 species of seabirds also the Atlantic bird puffin that you usually can see on Iceland! Here you will also see beautiful pink rocks that stretches over this part of Brittany’s coastal line, hereby the name of the Pink Granit Coast.  From the hotel you can see the beach of Treastraou and thanks to the private access for the guests of the hotel you can easily reach the beach in  less than 5 minutes by walking down the steps.

Ever since my first trip last year Brittany has put a spell on me and a few weeks ago I returned for the third time to enjoy one of my favourite regions in France. I had organized a weekend-trip to photograph the lighthouses Ploumanac’h, Kermorvan and Petit-Minou. The first night I stayed in Perros-Guerrec, less than 5 min drive to Ploumanac’h. At this occasion had the pleasure to spend my first two days at the beautiful L’Agapa Hôtel in a room with an exceptional seaview.

In total there are 33 rooms in the 5-star boutique-hotel L’Agapa including the Altitude suite. During my stay I got the opportunity to enjoy the superior Deluxe room that goes under the name La Désirade, a wonderful and spacious room with a splendid panoramic sea view. Yes, I was almost glued to the window during while I was in the room..only the view fr the room is worth the stay, so do ask for a room with a seaview when you reserve! It would be a pity not to wake up to the view of the beautiful bay and the beach Trestraou.

If you can, reserve room nr 71, the one I had, the room is decorated with the bows that refers to Christopher Columbus who discovered the island La Désirade, thereby the name of the room which also includes a home cinema screen that comes down from the ceiling with a remote control. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable King size bed, a Nespresso coffee for coffee lovers, a well-filled mini-bar and not to forget the fully integrated audiovisuel equipment. There is also a large bathroom with both a Italian shower and a bath tub and skin and hair products from Nuxe.

The French skincare brand Nuxe has a SPA at L’Agapa Hôtel. Enjoy the swimming pool, the whirlpool bath with a seaview or why not add extra luxury to your stay and endulge yourself with one of the treatments offered by Nuxe SPA? When the weather is warm you have a 100 sqm solarium facing the beautiful bay Baie des Sept Îles.

I was offered a SPA treatment and opted for a 45 minutes long Charismatic Head Massage – perfect if you wish to obtain full relaxation. The benefits of this particular massage is not only that it stimulates the blood flow and promote hair growth but it’s also very relaxing, if you have an headache rest assured it will be gone after this treatment! It’s also perfect if you want to have a good nights sleep :-)

Le Bélouga is the hotel restaurant, run by the chef Vincent Premorvan. Here they offer a seasonal and gastronomical cuisince. It was truly a delightful experience and I have shared my experience including photos from my dinner at Restaurant Le Bélouga. Do reserve a table if you intend to eat there, you simply don’t want to miss trying their cusine while you are staying at L’Agapa Hôtel.

A deluxe breakfast buffet is served every morning at L’Agapa Hôtel, containing many local specialities including homemade bread, cakes and viennoiseries and pastries. I opted for a breakfast in my room, where I could in private sit and enjoy the amazing view while trying the delicacies of the breakfast. Curious? Read all about my Breakfast with a Seaview!

If you are looking for a romantic getaway with your loved one, or simply want to spoil yourself with a luxurious spa weekend near the sea enjoying fresh air and gastronomic food I can truly recommend L’Agapa Hôtel.

From the moment I entered this charming hotel until my check-out I was met with the most kindest and service-minded staff that totally added more value to my stay. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with your loved one, or simply want to spoil yourself with a luxurious spa weekend near the sea enjoying fresh air and gastronomic food I can truly recommend L’Agapa Hôtel.

How to get to L’Agapa Hôtel fr Paris:

I took the train fr Paris (Montparnasse station – Morlaix, as I wanted to be in the middle of my lighthouses, in Morlaix I rented a car and drove around 40 min to reach the hotel). However, if your plan to only stay in Perros-Guerrec and its nearby places, I would suggest to take the train to Lannion and then rent a car to drive the remaining 9 kms to Perros-Guerrec.

By plane, the closest airport is Lannion airport where Hop air flies to from Paris. Good news! With start of July 2017, there will be a TGV fr Paris to Lannion, only 3 hours 13 min!
