Fève délicieuse is the name of the lastest perfume in Dior‘s prestige line of fragrances, La Collection Privée. Translated into English it means the delicious bean, in this case referring to the Tonka bean. Pierre Mathieu, the pastry chef at Mandarin Oriental‘s restarurant Camélia got the great idea of creating a pastry named after it…and for a short period of time, until June 3rd to be precise, this exquisite Tea Time Dior can be enjoyed in the courtyard of Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris. It consists of a main pastry, which is the “Fève délicieuse” and a few mini sweet treats, mignardises sucrées in French, all containing flavours that goes in line with the notes of the perfume such as vanilla and fève Tonka (tonka bean).
I was invited last week to try this exclusive Tea Time Dior and went there together with Parisbreakfast. We were installed in the lush courtyard of Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris, a serene place perfect to enjoy an Afternoon Tea. I had a thé glacé (iced tea) Jasmin/Rose which naturally had a very flowery and delightful taste, perfect to cool down as it was quiet warm outside. Do note that this Tea Time do not include any finger sandwiches or any petit fours salée. It’s a 100% sweet Tea Time ;-)
The Dior Afternoon Tea / Tea Time Dior will be served at Camélia (Mandarin Oriental Hotel) until June 3rd and the price is 38€.

We were almost matching each other, me in my green dress and this delicious mini pastry with green apple…
Parisbreakfast was very fast, she had finished all her 6 mini pastries before I even finished my Fève délicieuse…
Perhaps because I play with one and each pastry…it takes more time for me…one has to enjoy with all senses…look at this pretty one, a macaron shell topped with pink almond paste…matching my Chanel nailpolish ;-)
Parisbreakfast in action!
