Bruschetta deliciosa !

Having a very tasty bruschetta
After a long day under the burning sun on the island Capri I returned to Massa Lubrense in the early evening…tired and very hungry. I looked around near the harbour to see if I could find any restaurant with good food….quite difficult since I believed nobody would beat the cooking of my host at home. I found a bar, pretty crowded which is a GOOD sign. Took a seat outside with a perfect view over the harbour and asked for a bruschetta. Bruschetta has for me, always been a small piece of bread with tomatoes, basil, olive oil and garlic. Would be perfect for me I thought since I knew a dinner was waiting for me later in the evening. When the waitress came with my plate..I was so surprised to see that my bruschetta was a super giant one!! I was SO in heaven! I had never seen such a huge bruschetta in my entire life and when I had my first bite it was love immediately. Fresh Italian chopped tomatoes, olive oil…topped with basil and garlic. I was totally having a la dolce vita moment there…having my bruschetta deliciosa….sitting on the harbour with sun setting just in front.

    I’ve had this experience in Italy with bruschetta of utter deliciousness yet have never figured out how to do it myself..
    Maybe it’s those Italian tomatoes..irreplaceable
