C’est Noël Rive Gauche

C'est Noël - Rive GaucheC’est Noël, very soon! And because of the very last minute moving I haven’t had any time at all to go for gift hunting. Last weekend I made it easy for myself, La Grande Epicerie is a piece of paradise for me, so why not spoil my loved ones with some delicacies? I ended up with lot’s of French delicacies and even got the best service from the staff. And you know what? The best part? They are open on Sundays throughout December!! Guess where I will be shopping before New Years Eve :-) I will return to Paris on December 29th and will most likely run to La Grande Epicerie to buy whatever that will be needed to celebrate the New Year…..yay!

Le Bon Marché is also a perfect place to do shopping especially now when Paris is invaded by millions of tourists. I hate standing in long lines, over crowded stores and the typical hysterical ambiance that you suddenly find yourself in. That’s why I don’t even bother going to Galeries Lafayette or Printemps… I’m aware the price tags are slightly higher at La Grande Epicierie and Le Bon Marché, but it might also be the price I pay for not having a headache after the shopping.
