Let me introduce you to Pavlova, one of my favourite desserts. Crispy and crusty merengue shell with a soft and fluffy inner center. Add snowy white whipped cream and red fruits and you have a pavlova! This very intriguing dessert was named and inspired by the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, and invented by someone who still remains unknown. Pavlova is a dessert that is simple and easy to make but I must admit I love when someone choose to put their on twist on it. Like when I was at the restaurant Monsieur Bleu in Paris having dinner, I ordered a pavlova as dessert. Adorable cute creation in the middle of the plate, lovely contrast between the white merengue and the red color of the berries…yet the best has not been revealed. Inside of this pavlova they had hidden some raspberry sorbet. Loved it! Perfectly balancing the sweetness of the merengue and the whipped cream. Another plus the red fruit sauce….
