Swedish expats in Paris

sunset-paris-bridgeLast week I met two friends I know through my blog, Christine, a Swedish expat living in Paris with her French boyfriend and Robin, a Swedish francophile that recently moved to Paris with her Swedish boyfriend. Both of them have blogs and if you want to have a sneak peak in their life in Paris you should visit their blogs: Christine & Paris and Peches mignons. We met up at Café des Initiés not far away from Louvre and had a recap since last time we had seen each other…guess almost two years! When expats meet each other I guess it’s impossible not to talk about the differences between the native country and the new home country. Ofcourse, I could not help myself and complain over the never-ending-process of having my French health card, why the buildings in France are so poorly isolated, why it’s rare to have hot water radiators in apartments etc etc. I know I do complain alot, but that doesn’t mean my love for Paris is less than before. Even though there is a list of things I get irritated of here and that drives me crazy, I guess after all it’s these things that gives some character to Paris. Not sure how charming it would be to live in a modernized Paris.

Haha, du får klaga hur mycket du vill!
