Pierre Marcolini Chocolate

Pierre Marcolini Pierre Marcolini, one of Belgium’s well-known chocolatier, was among the exposers at Le Salon Du Chocolat. In his stand there was a factory so you could acctually see the whole process of manufacturing a chocolate Grand Cru tablet. They produced a limited edition tablet made of fair certified cocoa beans from a Grand Cru property in Vietnam, in the heart of the Mekong Delta to be more precise. Acctually an area I visited when I was doing my two months long Asian-trip ;-)
There was a dégustation so you could try the chocolate and it was also possible to buy the tablet that was wrapped in a beautiful silver packaging, like a jewellery box.
If you will visit Le Salon Du Chocolat you should definately pass by his stand and watch the process of making a chocolate tablet. Further I must say I’m very lucky since I live almost next to his boutique in the 7th arrondissement in Paris – 78 Rue du Bac, 75007 Paris.
