Farmers Market in Copenhagen (Bondens Marked i København translated into Danish) – you can’t imagine how much I’ve been looking for this type of market here in Copenhagen! Torvehallerne is indeed a wonderful market, but I find it hard to find organic and biodynamic vegetables and fruits there. Luckily the Farmers Market is hold only 5 minutes away from me….hrmmm…how on earth have I missed it?
I’m very picky when I’m out buying food, I avoid GMO and my aim is to buy as much as biodynamic products as possible but organic is fine too since it’s still difficult to find biodynamic products. The Famers Market has everything what the season has to offer and I find it great to have a chat with the farmers and get some tips and advices while digging for vegetables and fruits. Especially for me who like to know where the food I’m eating comes from :-) Today I just bought some asparagus as you can see on the photo above. Since I’m leaving to Paris in a few days I thought it would be stupid to bunker up with veggies and fruits while I’m away. But these biodynamic asparagus will be perfection for the starter I will make for tonight’s dinner.
The Farmers Market in Copenhagen is held the first Saturday every month and you can find it here:
