Scandinavian Bakery Fair in Copenhagen

Scandinavian Bakery FairScandinavian Bakery Fair in Copenhagen was held at Øksnehallen between May 26th-27th. My little sister was visiting me one of those days so we stopped by for a short visit. Lots of exhibitors were there but what caught my attention was the teams from Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland competing in becoming nr 1 bakery country in the Nordic Cup. I truly enjoyed watching them in the process of baking bread, croissants, pain au chocolats, brioche’s etc. I love baking and also find it fascinating seeing other people making their creations. Was almost glued to their working bench and didn’t wanted to leave.

Can you recommend a casual restaurant for lunch in Copenhagen? Also a good bakery? We’ll be there just one day, sadly not during the farmers’ market. I hope to go to a farmers’ market in Halmstad earlier in our trip. We have lots of farmers’ markets here in the Santa Monica, CA area.

    I too, love Paris!

Hi Marie, sounds fun you’re coming to Copenhagen! A good bakery, you should visist La Glace: http://solli-kanani.com/2012/08/conditoriet-la-glace/

For lunch you should visit Torvehallerne in Copenhagen or Meatpacking district, there you will find many different restaurants:

I’ve never been in Santa Monica but if I would go there I would have loved to visit their farmers market :-)

Enjoy your trip to Denmark and Sweden!

    Kind regards,

    Solli
