Copenhagen Carnival

Copenhagen Carnival 2013Copenhagen Carnival – celebrating springtime, sunshine and samba. Ever since 1982 Copenhagen Carnival has been bringing a colorful parade with rythm on the Whitsun holiday. This year the Copenhagen Carnival took place yesterday, with a parade starting at Strøget’s Gammeltorv to Kongens Nytorv. I went there to have a look, just like the other hundreds of thousands of Copenhageners and curious tourists. Summerheat in the air, perfectly in time for the wonderful colorful parade that danced their way through. It was impossible not getting carried away with the samba rythms and when I wasn’t shaking my hips to the beats of the music I took some photos to share with you guys, enjoy!
