Absynthe Minded at Mama Shelter

Mama Shelter

Yesterday was great, I was strolling around in the city…passed by Palais Royal and to my surprise the ground was partly covered with snow and I was happy to finally see my Paris with snow (never snowed during the years I was living in Paris). And so it was also raining later in the afternoon…but I didn’t mind..I was cold and got wet..but couldn’t resist going to GROM for a delicious ice cream so I sat there for a while, enjoyed my pistacchio and marrons glacée ice cream topped with chantilly while watching people passing by. I’ve never enjoyed rain or cold weather…but in Paris it seems I’m totally in another dimension…and don’t mind it at all <3

In the evening I met up my sweet friend Jo and went for dinner at one of my favourite restaurants in Paris, Mama Shelter, decorated by Philippe Starck. I was SO happy to see they still serve my favourite starter, salmon with avocado tartare, ordered it and enjoyed every slice….we also had yummie desserts…so heavy though I couldn’t finish mine. The cocktails were great, chose the one called Absynthe Minded and then we continued with a 100 EUR bottle of fine red wine and ended the evening with their new candy shot.

Have only been here for 2 1/2 days and I don’t want to leave…at all…
