On Monday, August 29th, it was Matteo’s birthday. Matteo is one of the members of the supernice team who works at my favourite Italian restaurant, Oenosteria here in Paris. He had told us last week to come by on his birthday because he had planned to make a cake, so we went there for dinner that day. We toasted his birthday with champagne and then we had aspargus with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, bresaola, prosciutto di Parma and polenta…delicious, as always! For dessert Matteo gave us a slice of his birthday cake, a chocolate cake that he had made with a green-tea frosting :-)
