Paris / Restaurants and bistros

Il Suppli – one of my favourite Italian restaurants….

Il Suppli, 2 rue de Condé, Paris

Just in the corner behind the building I was living in before in Saint Germain you’ll find the cozy and genuine Italian restaurant Il Suppli. I remember when I tried their starter with buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto di Parma for the first time….I just fell in love…the most mouth watery mozzarella combined with delicious thin slizes of mild salted prosciutto….can’t have more Italian than that in Paris! I usually have their pasta as main dish and a tiramisú as a dessert which is a must when having dinner at an Italian restaurant :-) Their staff are always nice, very service-minded and kind and by now they all know to bring me a side plate with butter to the bread they’re serving…I just can’t have bread without some butter even though olive oil is more healthier :-)

The interior is simple yet elegant and the big antique chandeliers from Italy makes the ambience even more genuine. So if there is one restaurant I miss in Saint Germain Il Suppli is one of them…and as I said before..their starter with mozzarella and proscuitto..simply to die for ;-)
