I’m still exploring my new nighbourhood (yes, I moved almost 2 months ago ! 3rd time in one year since I arrived last year..more about my new home in a separate blog post!) and Mami Gâteaux was one of the first ones I wanted to try as my friend Carol had posted photos from her visit to this tea salon on her blog. Their lemon meringue pie got all my attention, the generously fluffy meringue covering the lemon pie was almost speaking to me….
One day by lunchtime I went there, I wanted to have one of their tartes salées, but they were sold out on almost everything so what was left was their veggie soup that I had with a plate with mixed salad. Having a hot soup on a summer day was maybe not optimal…but I quickly finished my lunch as the main purpose was to try their lemon meringue pie! Luckily there were two pieces left when I ordered my dessert. It tasted just as it looked like, heavenly !
I will definately return to this cozy Salon de Thé with its vintage interior and old charming school desks as tables. Have you ever been here? Any favourites on their menu?
