The Westin Hotel was one of the places where several fashionshows took place during the Fashion Week in Paris in Feb/March. One of the best parts of the Fashion Week is that you get to see places you wouldn’t have usually, many shows and after-parties and cocktail events takes places in very beautiful locations such as hotels, embassies, museums, hôtel particuliers etc.
Roland Mouret‘s fashionshow (photo above) took place in the ballroom at the Westin Hotel. It was the first time I was in the ballroom of the hotel and I totally fell in love with the huge chandeliers hanging down from the ceiling, the beautiful paintings, ornaments and the gilded details that all together gave a glorious touch to the atmosphere.
The Westin Hotel is situated at 3 rue de Castiglione, close to Place de Vendôme and Rue Rivoli in Paris. It was designed by the French architecture, Charles Garnier’s (who was the architect of Palais Garnier) nephew Henri Blondel and was opened in 1878. Already by that time it was one of Paris most luxurious hotel and still is.
